Deliciously Gluten-Free: Food So Flavorful They Will Never Believe It’s Gluten-Free

http://organicbodycleanse.com

A gluten-free diet is a diet that excludes foods containing gluten. Gluten is a protein found in wheat (including kamut and spelt), barley, rye, malts and triticale. It is used as a food additive in the form of a flavoring, stabilizing or thickening agent, often as “dextrin”. A gluten-free diet is the only medically accepted treatment for celiac disease, the related condition dermatitis herpetiformis, and wheat allergy.

Several grains and starch sources are considered acceptable for a gluten-free diet. The most frequently used are corn, potatoes, rice, and tapioca (derived from cassava). Other grains and starch sources generally considered suitable for gluten-free diets include amaranth, arrowroot, millet, montina, lupin, quinoa, sorghum (jowar), taro, teff, chia seed, and yam. Various types of bean, soybean, and nut flours are sometimes used in gluten-free products to add protein and dietary fiber.(Click Link) http://organicbodycleanse.com

Almond flour is a low-carbohydrate alternative to flour, with a low glycemic index. In spite of its name, buckwheat is not related to wheat; pure buckwheat is considered acceptable for a gluten-free diet, although many commercial buckwheat products are actually mixtures of wheat and buckwheat flours, and thus not acceptable. Gram flour, derived from chickpeas, is also gluten-free (this is not the same as Graham flour made from wheat). Chickpeas

A gluten-free diet allows for fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and many organic dairy products. The diet allows rice, corn, soy, potato, tapioca, beans, sorghum, quinoa, millet, buckwheat, arrowroot, amaranth, teff, Montina and nut flours and prohibits the ingestion of wheat, barley, rye and related components, including triticale, durum, graham, kamut, semolina, spelt, malt, malt flavouring or malt vinegar.

Most products manufactured for Passover are gluten free. Exceptions are foods that list matzah as an ingredient, usually in the form of cake meal. Cross-contamination issues

MTV TO HELP “RESTORE THE SHORE” AIR, ONLINE AND MOBILE FUNDRAISING

MTV TO HELP “RESTORE THE SHORE” WITH ON AIR, ONLINE AND MOBILE FUNDRAISING SPECIAL THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2012

Partnering With Non-Profit Architecture for Humanity, MTV Will Air the One Hour Special Featuring Members of the “Jersey Shore” Cast As Well As Other Special Guests

As part of the effort to help rebuild and restore the Jersey Shore – which was devastated, along with many other coastal areas, by Hurricane Sandy last week – MTV (a division of Viacom Inc., NASDAQ: VIAB) today announced it will produce a one hour fundraising special called “Restore the Shore.” The special will encourage people nationwide to contribute to the rebuilding of Seaside Heights, the heart of the Jersey Shore and home to one of MTV’s most popular shows, “Jersey Shore.”   http://mtvvideomusicaward.blogspot.com

The special will run LIVE from MTV’s Times Square Studio on Thursday, November 15th at 11pm ET, tape delayed PT on air, online and on mobile and will feature the cast of the “Jersey Shore” along with other special guest appearances to be announced.

For this fundraising effort, MTV is partnering with Architecture for Humanity, an internationally recognized non-profit organization that provides design and construction services to communities in need. The organization will create a “Restore the Shore” fund to collect donations that will be principally directed toward the rebuilding of the famed Seaside Heights boardwalk, as well as supporting the re-building efforts of businesses and residents in the community that were so tragically affected by this historic storm. Architecture for Humanity has been helping communities rebuild after natural disasters for more than a decade, including major efforts in Biloxi and New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina and in Haiti after the devastating earthquake in 2010.

Viewers will be provided with easy-to-use online and mobile giving tools, so people can donate during and well after the MTV special runs on November 15th. Additional details will be announced shortly. http://mtvvideomusicaward.blogspot.com

2012 BET Hip Hop Awards Airs October 9th, 8:00p/7c

Debra Lee Address BET Hip Hop Awards 2012 Drama: “To the BET Family: As you all know, the BET HIP HOP AWARDS 2012 taped in Atlanta, GA over the weekend. And while the show had many fantastic moments, including the much awaited cyphers and an extremely powerful tribute to Chris Lighty, the event was marred by a few incidents where talent and members of their entourages acted completely inappropriately. I know how hard we all work to bring the best in Hip Hop to Atlanta every year, and I was disappointed to see any violence at all take place – especially in our house. We don’t condone violence, and it is not tolerated at any of our events or shows.

On a positive note, the Atlanta police department and our internal security team responded quickly and appropriately. Additionally, no BET Network employees were involved or injured. I would also like to clarify that there were no shots were fired, regardless of reports to the contrary.”

Rick Ross, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa First Artists Confirmed to Perform

BET HIP HOP AWARDS 2012 OCT 9th 8p7c-Click Here

BET Networks today announced that legendary MC Rakim will be the recipient of the “I AM HIP HOP ICON” Award at this year’s BET HIP HOP AWARDS filming at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center in Atlanta on Saturday, September 29, 2012.  Rakim will be acknowledged and honored for his contribution to the music industry as being one of the greatest lyricists of all time.

Rakim’s intricate lyrics draw their force from his worldly experience, inner faith and progressive contemplation.  His lucid and seemingly effortless delivery – often imitated but still unrivaled – stem from a fire fueled by a deep understanding of not just Hip-Hop, but also the Jazz and R&B influences that have surrounded his family since his youth.

His recordings – including the all-time classics “Paid In Full,” “Follow the Leader” and “The 18th Letter” – have sold in the multi-millions worldwide.  Billboard, Rolling Stone, MTV and a host of others consistently refer to “Paid in Full” as “the greatest Hip-Hop album of all time” – a claim that often repeated in audience polls.  In the history of the Hip-Hop, few artists have had as great an impact on the development and progression of the art forms lyrical style as Rakim Allah.

Previous “I AM HIP HOP ICON” recipients include Grandmaster Flash (2006); KRS-One (2007); Russell Simmons (2008); Ice Cube (2009); Salt N Pepa (2010) and LL Cool J (2011).

Maybach Music’s Rick Ross (Def Jam) and Meek Mill (Warner Bros. Records); G.O.O.D. Music’s 2 Chainz (Def Jam); and Taylor Gang’s Wiz Khalifa (Atlantic) are the first artists confirmed to perform on this year’s BET HIP HOP AWARDS 2012.

About RAKIM
In the history of the Hip-Hop, few artists have had as great an impact on the development and progression of the art forms lyrical style as Rakim Allah.  Universally referenced as one of the Masters of the Microphone and an influence and inspiration to his peers and followers alike, Rakim first exploded onto the scene with the release of iconic Eric B. is President in 1986 with longtime collaborator Eric B.  The single marked a turning point in the Rap world – raising the bar for future emcees and revolutionizing the way rhymes are delivered to this day.  No serious discussion of the music’s greatest performers is held without a deferential accounting of his achievements, and no serious rap artist grips a microphone without channeling some of his legend.

Rakim’s uncanny innovation was the focal point of the critically acclaimed recreation of Bob Marley’s Concrete Jungle and has helped propel movie soundtracks such as Juice, Brown Sugar, the Rugrats, American Psycho and 8 Mile to Best Seller status.  His role model status has led world famous brands such as Reebok, The Coca Cola Company, LVMH, Ecko and Sean Jean to choose him as spokesperson.

Now nearing twenty-five years at the top of Hip-Hop’s Greatest list, the Long Island, NY native not only continues to record for himself, but also works with young artists signed to his own record imprint, Ra Records.  With recent tributes in 2012 such as being named the #1 Lyricist of All Time by The Source magazine, receiving the coveted BET Lifetime Achievement Award and being nominated to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, two original music projects, his first feature film role and sold-out international tours keeping the world’s eye on the one many call The GOD EmCee, Rakim Allah continues to lead where others just follow.
