MTV announced international sensation and five-time 2012 VMA nominee, Rihanna will heat up the “MTV Video Music Awards” stage with a performance like never before, LIVE from STAPLES Center on Thursday, September 6th at 8:00pm ET/PT. 

Innovative “Best New Artist” nominee, Frank Ocean, makes his VMA debut to deliver the kind of performance that has made him one of the most buzzed about artists of the year. ‘Skyscraper’ singer will perform and EDM superstar Calvin Harris will warm up the pre-show, kicking off at 7 p.m. ET/PT on Thursday, September 6th.

Last year Lovato chilled on the black carpet, this year Demi Lovato will be in the spotlight at the pre-show to the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.

Lovato is slated to perform her big hit “Give Your Heart A Break” during the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards pre-show on September 6. It’s an emotional song, no doubt, but she’ll likely be turning off the X Factor waterworks for this performance. Earlier Tuesday (Aug. 28) the network announced that along with dance-pop maestro Calvin Harris (who is nominated for Best Electronic Dance Music Video), Lovato will be working the crowd into a frenzy during the hour-long lead-up to the main event.

As a part of MTV’s “2012 Video Music Awards Pre-Show,” MTV News’ Sway Calloway, Jim Cantiello, James Montgomery and Christina Garibaldi will take viewers live to the vertical red carpet, behind the scenes and backstage with some of music’s hottest stars. Also on the carpet, British TV host and fashion expert Louise Roe will return as MTV’s international guest correspondent for the second year in a row.

Leading up to the pre-show, MTV will air a “Jersey Shore Look Back Special” at 6 p.m. ET/PT, featuring clips from past episodes, commentary from the cast and never-before-seen footage in preparation for the upcoming sixth season of “Jersey Shore” in October. During the special, the cast will break in with live hits from the red carpet with their reactions, remarks and messages for fans. The pre-show will also feature the announcement of the all-new “Most Share-Worthy Video” award, presented by Bing.

iHeartRadio Music Festival 2012: Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne, Linkin Park & Usher To Highlight

Taylor Swift, Aerosmith, Rihanna, Usher, Bon Jovi, Lil Wayne, Green Day, Miranda Lambert, Mary J. Blige, Shakira and others are set to take the stage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival 2012 in Las Vegas.

The 2-day festival, slated for Sept.21-22 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and billed as “the Biggest Live Music Event in Radio History,” will be streamed live by Yahoo!, Clear Channel’s web and mobile webcast partner for the event.

Clear Channel, which also owns 850 terrestrial radio stations in the U.S. The stellar lineup suggests the two-day marketing blitz to promote Clear Channel’s iHeartRadio digital music service is on its way to repeating the success of last year’s debut concert.The lineup of performers reflects the diversity of artists on the digital music service, said the event’s executive producer Tom Poleman.

T.I., Big Boi, Too Short: Join MixShow Live Atlanta

T.I., Big Boi, DJ Drama, Too Short join the MixShow Atlanta Live Conference on behalf of Grand Hustle.

With a roster that consists of Big Tigger, T.J. Chapman, DJ Dimepiece, DJ Wally Sparks, and DJ Demp among others, the Core DJs bill themselves as “The World’s Largest DJ Organization.” From August 10-13, members of the collective will reconvene for the Core DJ’s Mixshow Live Atlanta, (formerly known as The Core DJ’s Retreat).

The music industry continues to support MixShow Live, involving their expertise and brands in the conference.  Industry heavy hitters like Reggie Rouse (recently named on Billboard’s Urban Power 30 List), Deborah Atney, DJ Greg Street, DJ Drama, and Source Magazine Publisher L. Londell McMillan, are among the confirmed panelist speaking this year. 

The list of confirmed talent for MixShow Live is growing daily, with T.I. (and Grand Hustle) being the most recent addition.  Talent including Big Boi, DJ Sense (of the Aphilliates) Curren$y, and Too Short are confirmed to host social events and judge showcases. 

Attendees will have access to unparalleled learning, networking and socializing experience through a series of informative panels and the MixShow Live Legends Old Skool Skate Jam.

The singer and “X Factor USA” judge, Demi Lovato took to her official Twitter account to publish a new update, and expressed her excitement about her nomination at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards next month.

Demi Lovato wrote: “What an amazing week! Skyscraper is nominated for a VMA! love you lovatics!!!

The singer has obtained many new fans, and has attained much success. Demi Lovato is certainly one of the most popular singers in pop music, and has had a number of hit songs that have become instant successes with her fans. The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards will air live next month from Los Angeles, and many stars have been nominated including Rihanna, Drake, and Beyonce.

The new season of “X Factor USA” will premiere next month, and viewers are looking forward to watching the show, to see the new judges, Demi Lovato and Britney Spears, as well as Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid.

When the news was announced that Demi Lovato would be joining the panel of judges, her fans were thrilled, and are excited to watch the show.

Thursday, September 6th, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, the 2012 VMAs will take over Staples for the first time. The epicenter of the L.A. sports and entertainment universe is just the latest iconic venue the VMAs have called home, joining a list that includes New York’s Radio City Music Hall, the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and American Airlines Arena in Miami.
