MTV Video Music Awards 2025 Will be Presented for the First Time on CBS
CBS is set to present the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) for the first time this year. The three-hour broadcast will also simulcast on MTV, which launched the show in 1984. A one-hour live pre-show will air across Paramount Media Networks. For the first time in history, the VMAs will air live on CBS, ending years of exclusivity on MTV.
The show will broadcast live from UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y. and be simulcast on MTV.
This year’s show is set to air live on Sunday, Sept. 7th starting at 8 p.m. ET, and streaming on Paramount+. Last year’s show, hosted by Megan Thee Stallion, aired on Wednesday (Sept. 11). The show will broadcast from UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y. for the second year in a row. Nominations, performers and additional details will be announced closer to the show.
The VMAs, an MTV staple for more than 40 years, will still be simulcast on the network, with the one-hour live preshow airing across the Paramount Media Networks, including BET, BET Her, CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land, and VH1

Low fidelity LoFi Hip Hop Beats Music Studying Relaxing
how to make lofi music
To make lo-fi music, start with a slow tempo and a simple beat. Add “vintage” sounds and “jazzy” chords. Create imperfections everywhere in the music. Adjust EQ, saturation, and compression to achieve the desired sound. Use samples from around the room such as stick clicks, finger snaps, key jingles, or glass bottle hits.
You can also use tools like vinyl simulators, tape emulators, and bit crushers to add more texture to your sound. To create a lo-fi hip hop track specifically, you can follow these five easy steps: Step 1: Nostalgic Chords and Melody; Step 2: Dusty Drum Beat; Step 3: Infectious Bass Line; Step 4: FX & Atmosphere; Step 5: Vocal Samples
