The Brooklyn-raised comedian has garnered four Emmy Awards, three Grammy® Awards, is listed as number five on Comedy Central’s “100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time” and was honored in 2006 with HBO’s esteemed “Comedian Award.

Rock competed at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival as first-time documentary filmmaker for his film, “Good Hair,” the critically-acclaimed film won the Sundance “Special Jury Prize,” the NAACP Image Award for “Outstanding Documentary” and was named “Top Five Documentaries of 2009” by the National Board of Review. n 2011 Rock made his Broadway debut starring in Stephen Adly Guirgis’s The Motherf**ker With The Hat. Rock hosted the 77th Annual Academy Awards in 2005, as well as the MTV Video Music Awards in 1999 and 2003.
